We were delighted to be back with our friends at Aylesbury Cheerleading Academy for their annual awards evening, this year held at the Stoke Mandeville Indoor Bowls Centre – a fantastic new venue chosen to accommodate the ever-growing number of athletes now part of the club.
Awards nights like this are always a highlight of our calendar. Seeing so many athletes, families and coaches come together under one roof to celebrate a year of hard work, teamwork and trophies is what these evenings are all about, and this one was extra special.
Five Years with Aylesbury Cheerleading Academy
Fill The Floor Discos has had the pleasure of working with Aylesbury Cheerleading Academy for the past five years, and it has been wonderful to watch them grow and go from strength to strength. Over the years we’ve celebrated with them at some lovely venues, including a memorable night at Bradmoor Farm and an awards evening at The Dairy, Waddesdon. This year the move to the Stoke Mandeville Indoor Bowls Centre was needed simply to fit everyone in – a brilliant problem to have, and a real testament to the coaches and athletes who have built such a thriving club.
What We Provided
For this special evening we supplied the full celebration package:
- Disco – background music as guests arrived and during the awards and speeches, then a packed dance floor once the celebrations began
- Magic Mirror Photo Booth – endless fun pictures with props that kept athletes and families laughing all night, with prints to take home as a keepsake
- Light Up Numbers – a glowing “26” marking the year
- Light Up Letters – “ACA” proudly lighting up the room for the academy
A Night to Remember
The evening flowed perfectly from start to finish. Our background music set the tone as everyone took their seats, and the awards presentations and speeches gave every athlete their moment in the spotlight. There were trophies, cheers and more than a few proud tears as the club looked back on everything the teams have achieved this year.
Once the formalities were done, the dance floor filled in true cheerleading style. The light up “26” and “ACA” letters made the perfect backdrop for team photos and family snaps, while the magic mirror photo booth was busy all evening with athletes and families striking poses with props. If you’ve never seen a room full of cheerleaders take over a dance floor, trust us – they know how to celebrate!
