My son started DJ lessons with Daniel a few weeks ago. Daniel comes to our house in Tring and brings all necessary equipment. My son has been loving his lessons and benefits from Daniel’s patience and knowledge! Thoroughly recommend!

DJ Lessons Tring: fun from the very first session

The DJ Lessons Tring I teach are hands-on from the start. Your child learns on real Pioneer DJ decks — not an app — and builds up lesson by lesson to beatmatching, mixing and putting together a set of their own. It builds confidence, creativity and genuine music skills, disguised as the best half hour of their week.

Hi — I’m Daniel, a working DJ with over 25 years’ experience, from club and pub residencies to weddings and parties, and a qualified secondary-school music teacher and head of department. Your child learns from someone who does this for real, week in, week out — I’m enhanced-DBS checked and fully insured, and parents are always welcome to sit in. I taught my own son Jack to DJ from scratch with these same lessons, and he now plays gigs alongside me.

Who Tring DJ lessons are for

Any teen can learn, whatever their ability. Total beginners who’ve never touched a deck; app mixers ready to learn on real gear; and young DJs already mixing who want to take it up a level. Every student records a mix to keep and share at the end of each term — a real achievement to send to friends and family.

What’s included with every lesson

One-to-one tuition in your own Tring home, pitched exactly to your child’s level.
All gear provided — I bring the decks and headphones. Nothing to buy or set up.
Safe and professional — enhanced-DBS checked and fully insured, parents welcome to sit in.
A mix to keep every term, plus playlists and challenges to practise between lessons.
Student discount at the specialist DJ shop I use, if they want their own setup.

What students say

“What surprised me was how quickly it clicked. Within a few lessons I was putting together mixes I was genuinely proud to send my mates.”— Jack, aka DJ JCH

Where the lessons happen — Tring and nearby

Because I bring everything to you, DJ Lessons Tring lessons happen in the comfort of your own home anywhere in Tring and the surrounding villages, including Aldbury, Wilstone, Long Marston, Marsworth, Pitstone and Ivinghoe. Not sure I reach your street? Just get in touch and ask.

Where our students go

It’s not just about the decks — the part I’m proudest of is the love of music and confidence that stays with students long after the lessons stop. Here’s a former student, Kyna, in her own words:

“You were the teacher who kept my love for music alive. Thanks to you, I’m at university studying performing arts, teaching primary-school choir and singing lessons, and playing the piano. You’ve been a big inspiration in my life — I really do owe it to you.”— Kyna, former student

Kyna sent that while she was studying — she’s since graduated from Buckinghamshire University and is now working in film.

Simple pricing — lessons in blocks of ten

DJ Lessons Tring are taught in blocks of ten across a term — one-to-one, in your own home, all equipment provided.

One hour
£500/term

THE STANDARD LESSON

Ten weekly one-to-one hour lessons — long enough to learn a full skill, practise it properly and record the result. £50 a lesson, and less per minute than the half-hour.

Thirty minutes
£275/term

A STARTING POINT

Ten weekly one-to-one half-hour lessons — a good starting point for younger students, or for finding out whether it’s their thing. Most students move up to the hour.

Terms carry on unless you let me know by lesson eight, and there’s nothing to pay until you’ve had your offer and you’re happy — a relaxed way to find out whether DJ Lessons Tring are the right fit for your child.

“We had a great evening! Music was perfect, everyone danced all night and Daniel and Jack were very helpful and did a fantastic job! Highly recommend.”— Naomi Neves, five-star Google review (Jack learned to DJ through these lessons)
