30th birthday discos.
30th birthday DJ hire across Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire.
A 30th is usually the party where everyone can still make it — school friends, uni mates, workmates and family in one room. The music is the easy part: the pop and R&B you grew up on, the anthems from your teens and student years, and the songs everyone’s streaming right now. We’ve DJ’d 30ths across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, and they’re brilliant nights to DJ: old favourites and current hits sharing the same dance floor.
What a Great 30th Looks Like
Every 30th is different, because every birthday person’s music taste is different. We build the night around this — their must-plays, their do-not-plays, and the songs from their teens and twenties — and read the room as it goes, weaving in requests from every generation at the right moments. Nobody gets lectured into dancing — years of parties have taught us what to play and when, and the right song does the rest on its own.
Most 30ths start with drinks, food and catching up, so we start gently too — background music at talking volume, chosen to get people in the mood. Every party is different and we adapt, building the night and the energy up at the right time. And once the party’s in full swing, experience does the rest — knowing what to play next, what to hold back, and when to let a moment run.
The Setup — Sound, Lighting and a Choice of Look
You get professional sound and lighting — the same full setup whether the party’s in a village hall or a golf club function suite, and we’ve set up in both. Uplighting is included with every disco too, washing the room in colours to match the party. You also get a choice of look: our sleek black setup or the elegant white setup. Both offer the same high-quality sound and lighting — you can choose the finish that suits the venue and the party.
Light-Up “30” Numbers and the Photo Booth
Our 4ft light-up numbers are made for milestone birthdays — a giant glowing “30” makes the photos, marks the occasion, and leaves nobody in any doubt whose night it is. Add our Magic Mirror or Selfie Pod photo booth, fully attended with unlimited prints and props, and the guests who aren’t dancing have something brilliant to do between songs.
Your Music, Your Way — and an Easy Booking Portal
Before the party you get our online planning tools: a music request form for the must-plays, the do-not-plays and your favourite genres and artists, and a link you can share so guests can request songs in advance — you can preview their picks, and you always have the final say. On the night we build around those choices, reading the room as we go. While you’re planning, our short guide to the birthday party mistakes to avoid is worth five minutes.
Booking is straightforward too. A small deposit secures your date, and everything else runs through our online booking portal — the planning form for timings and announcements, and the balance payable by card, in one go or gradually, any time up to two weeks before the party. It works on your phone like an app too — add it to your home screen and your timings, payments and playlist are always in your pocket. And because it’s on your phone, you can add songs the moment they come to you.

30th Birthday DJ FAQs
Do you cover village halls and clubs?+
All the time — Tom’s 30th above was at Tring Football Club, and we’re regulars in village halls, sports and social clubs and function rooms. We bring everything: sound, lighting, stands and cabling — all we need from the venue is a socket.
How long do you play for?+
We typically start at 7pm and run through to midnight — just tell us the timings when you enquire.
Can guests still talk over the music?+
Yes — and not just at the start. Early on everything sits at talking volume, and once the dancing begins we aim the sound at the dance floor rather than the whole room, so in most venues the bar end or the tables stay sociable all night. How well that works depends a little on the room’s layout — it’s one of the things we look at when we set up, and we’re happy to talk it through for your venue.
Can we add the numbers or photo booth later?+
Yes — plenty of people book the DJ first and add the light-up “30” or the photo booth closer to the date, subject to availability.
